Online Ad Spending Dominates in Australia

According to a new study, digital advertising is eating up larger chunks of budgets than ever before, shoppers are increasingly active on smart phones and social media is considered the most effective way to get new customers. So reports CMO Australia.

The Reach, Click and Conversions report released from Criteo surveyed Australian marketers and CMOs. Online advertising represents a larger slice of firms' overall advertising spend, climbing from 36.2% in 2014 to 44.8%. 

The report also found TV, radio, outdoor and cinema advertising rose from 2014 to 2017, while print advertising has consistently dropped.
