FIFA World Cup Picks Up More Chinese Sponsors

Chinese brands Diking, a clothing company, and Luci, an entertainment and technology company, have signed on as sponsors for the 2018 FIFA World Cup. So reports The Drum.

The companies will be Asian Regional Supporters for the tournament, which is set to take place in Russia. Companies from China already sponsoring the event include Vivo, Wanda, Mengniu and Hisense.

China is not fielding a team, despite the growing popularity of football (soccer) in the nation. One report says China is expected to contribute $835 million in additional advertising expenditure with respect to the World Cup, though.
