Google Japan Allegedly Shifted Ad Revenue to Singapore

Google Japan reportedly failed to declare $32 million (3.5 billion yen) in advertising revenue earned in the nation and was sanctioned by the Tokyo Regional Taxation Bureau. So reports the Nikkei Asian Review.

The income was earned in the revenue year concluded in December of 2015. The revenues were allegedly recorded in Singapore where tax rates are more favorable. Google Japan agreed to pay $9.2 million (1 billion yen) in back taxes.
