Nissan Korea Facing Prosecution Over Misleading Fuel Ads

Nissan Korea Co. and its parent company were fined $803,538 (900 million won) for misleading customers about the fuel efficiency and environmental benefits of some of its vehicles. So reports Pulse.

The Fair Trade Commission, South Korea’s antitrust watchdog, fined the company and is expected to raise the issue with prosecutors after asserting that Nissan may have violated the “fair labeling and advertising act.”

The vehicles the company allegedly misled consumers about are the Infiniti Q50 2.2d and Qashqai diesel sports utility vehicle.
