Networks Look to Shirk Election Rules During Political Ad Blackout

Free-to-air Australian networks are planning to run an end-around of the nation’s election advertising blackout by streaming ads online. So reports The Drum.

The blackout takes place in the days leading up the election to limit voter exposure to “un-tested claims.” The blackout rules only apply to community and commercial television and radio, but not online services and print.
