Amazon Has a Commanding Share of Retailing

During the holiday shopping season, 87% of online shoppers used Amazon.com for comparison shopping and 73% of shoppers said they purchased items from the online retailer, according to a survey by Survata. So reports Bloomreach.

Bloomreach hired Survate to conduct the research. Survey respondents didn’t list pricing as a top factor for using Amazon, rather many shoppers said they use the website because it provides customized searches for products, says Joelle Kaufman, head of marketing and partnerships at bloomreach.
