U.K.-Backed Report Proposes Regulating Online News

The Craincross Review, which is a U.K.-government backed review of journalism, has recommended that big firms such as Google and Facebook be regulated and be required to direct people toward high-quality news. So reports BBC News.

Among other proposals, the report says an organization called the Institute for Public Interest News should be created to direct funding to news outlets or other worthy parts of the media industry.
