General Mills CMO Out, Firm Won’t Replace Him

Ivan Pollard has left General Mills and the firm won’t hire a replacement global CMO. It added the role in 2016. So reports Marketing Dive.

General MillsThe departure comes as General Mills has “approved restructuring actions designed to better align its organizational structure and resources with its strategic initiatives," according to regulatory filings. General Mills owns brands such a Cheerios and Häagen-Dazs.

"As we pivot from the pandemic, in a position of strength, we are aligning our organization to maintain momentum in the dynamic markets we serve around the world," the company said in a statement, according to Marketing Dive. "Ivan's departure is related to this announcement. We will announce further details at the appropriate time."
