Tinder Names New CMO After Last Two Swipe Left

Tinder has its third CMO in less than two years. Match Group noted recently that Melissa Hobely, CMO at OkCupid, is moving to its sister dating app Tinder and will serve as its marketing chief. So reports PR Week.

tinderHobley had been CMO of OKCupid for more than five years. It is not clear who will succeed her in that role. At Tinder, Hobley is tasked with driving “top of funnel expansion and enhance brand perception,” according to the company.

George Felix, had served as CMO for a little more than a year, before departing to join Chili’s Grill & Bar as its CMO on July 21. Felix joined Tinder in early 2021 from Pizza Hut. He succeeded Jenny Campbell, who left Tinder late the prior year to join Kate Spade & Co. She had served in the role for a little more than two years.
