Schultz will oversee the consumer marketing team and maintain his current role leading Facebook’s “analytics, product growth and internationalization initiatives.”
He will report to Javier Olian, VP of growth. Chris Cox, chief product officer, will keep creative oversight.
Schultz, a longtime member of the social network’s growth team, joined Facebook in 2007. He replaces Antonio Lucio, who recently said he was leaving Facebook to focus on diversity consulting. The last few years Schultz has focused on Facebook’s brand safety and improving community standards.
