Short Films Thriving As Strategic Marketing Tool

Asian short films are fast becoming a valuable advertising tool by highlighting the role of storytelling in marketing. So reports the Nikkei Asian Review.

New filmmakers in the region stand to benefit from the thriving film market. Films have become "vehicles for sophisticated advertising," the article reads.

The films differ from traditional TV commercials since they don't promote products directly. Tokyo's annual Short Shorts Film Festival & Asia now includes a "branded shorts" category honoring company-sponsored films used for marketing purposes.
