ACCC Doles Out Sanctions Over Misleading Ads

The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) warned telecom companies Telstra, Vodafone and Optus they are facing legal action for distributing allegedly misleading advertisements. So reports The Drum

The companies were told their advertisements must be "clear and transparent." The developments come on the heels of an investigation into their use of the term ‘unlimited’ with respect to mobile data plans.

Penalties for infractions recently increased, per changes to Australian Consumer Law.
