Huawei’s 5G Ad Campaign Misses the Mark: Professor

China's Huawei is hoping to win over New Zealand consumers with a new advertising campaign to combat a ban on its 5G equipment. So reports Stuff.

Auckland University business school associate professor Michael Lee said Huawei’s plan to appeal directly to consumers with a rugby-themed ad is “well-crafted,” but unlikely to accomplish its goal. Lee said the plan is ironic—appealing to consumers in a democratic call to action on a government level—since Chinese consumers would likely not be afforded the same opportunity.
