Australian Regulators Rule Menstrual Blood OK for Ads

Sanitary pad brand Libra’s advertisements depicting menstrual blood on a woman’s legs and underwear did not breach viewing standards, according to regulators. So reports the BBC.

More than 600 complaints were logged over the ads, which some found inappropriate. Ad Standards, though, dismissed the complaints noting the campaign promoted “equality and the de-mystification of menstruation."
