Citing 'Misinformation,' Google Nixes Political Ads for Taiwan 2020

Google will not run political ads on its online platform leading up to Taiwan's 2020 elections. So reports Focus Taiwan.

Google, citing issues with “misinformation,” will forgo political ads from Nov. 15 to Jan. 17 from local political parties, legislative and presidential candidates. Google's decision contrasts with Facebook, which “continues to defend running paid political ads ahead of worldwide elections.”
