Amazon Accounts for Nearly Half of Product Searches

Consumers originate 49% of product searches on Amazon and 36% of product searches on search engines, according to the 2018 Internet Trends Report compiled by Mary Meeker, venture capitalist and attorney at Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers.

Among other topics, the report says U.S. adults spent 5.9 hours daily on digital media in 2017 compared to 5.6 hours in 2016.
