Facebook's Ads Under Fire from ACLU for Alleged Gender Discrimination

The ACLU and Communications Workers of America took steps toward filing a lawsuit against Facebook, arguing its advertising platform allows companies to post jobs only shown to men or those not ascribed to a gender. So reports Fortune.

Among some of the entities that posted the ads in question are Rice Tire, Xenith and the Greensboro, N.C., police department. The allegation is similar to a complaint from the Department of Housing and Urban Development arguing Facebook ads could be used to discriminate based on religion and race, among other factors.
