Bed Bath & Beyond Pushes Campaign Sans a CMO

Bed Bath & Beyond will continue to promote its new campaign, “Wake Up Happy,” despite the absence of a chief marketing and brand officer. So reports Ad Age.

marketing strategies 3105875 1920The campaign, which began January 6, 2020, contains print, digital, radio and television components. Bed Bath & Beyond has worked with agency Evolution Bureau since the Spring of 2019. Kepler Group has also been tapped for media duties. The company is currently looking to fill a new position that encompasses both the chief marketing officer role and the chief brand officer role. Michael Kreuger is handling marketing on an interim basis. He is currently the VP of marketing at One Kings Lane, which is owned by Bed Bath & Beyond. 

The company aims to associate its brand with sleeping better at night. The company has a new president and CEO Mark Tritton and plans to restructure the leadership team. Tritton used to be the executive VP and chief merchandising officer at Target. Bed Bath & Beyond has been having trouble bringing in more customers and growing sales. Last year, it closed a dozen stores.
