Conferences and Events Disrupted Due to Covid-19 Pandemic

Marketing conferences and events have been postponed or rescheduled because of the coronavirus pandemic. So reports The Drum.

  • American Advertising Federation Hall of Fame Gala has been postponed from April and rescheduled to October. This is the first time in 71 years that this event has been rescheduled.
  • Cannes Lions is in the process of monitoring the evolvement of the disease and its impact around the world. Cannes has not formally made an announcement, but plans on rescheduling to October.
  • Advertising Week Europe is postponed and will take place in September. It is also closely monitoring the whole situation.
  • Creative Week 2020, a nonprofit organization, has decided to replace its in-person One show, ADC 99th Annual Awards and Young Ones Student Awards ceremonies with events broadcast through streaming services.
  • The Drum Pub at Advertising Week Europe has decided to do online high-profile interviews, keynotes, and panels.
  • Adobe Summit also decided to switch to do an online event instead of holding its event in Las Vegas on March 29th.
  • Google Cloud Next will be streaming speeches, workshops and online ‘ask an expert’ sessions.
  • Facebook F8 canceled its event, which has involved 5,000 delegates at its annual convention in May.
