Sony Lays Off Dozens of Marketers Amid Pandemic

Sony Pictures cut about 35 marketing and distribution jobs as it combined parts of its domestic and international film and television operations. So reports Variety.

SonyThe combined marketing group will be based in the U.S. and run by Paul Noble and Danielle Misher. Further, Lexine Wong will lead the global multichannel distribution marketing efforts.

Additionally, Andre Caraco, co-president of global marketing at Sony Pictures, is stepping down from his role. Caraco worked on popular films “Men in Black” and “The Social Network,” among many others.

Sony’s marketing cuts are the latest among media companies amid the pandemic.
