Root Gets Restraining Order Against Insurtech Co.’s Ex-CMO  

Root has received a federal judge’s approval of the insurance technology company’s request for a temporary restraining order against its former chief marketing officer. So reports Insurance Journal.

scale gc2e57f16a 640The order blocks former Root CMO Brinson Caleb “BC” Silver, his companies, or his associates from unloading any assets that Root claims Silver obtained inappropriately.

Root alleged in an amended complaint that Silver defrauded the insurtech of at least $9.9 million, up from $9.4 million in the original lawsuit. Silver did not respond to Insurance Journal’s requests for comment.
