Malibu Liquor Bottles Packing More Than a Buzz

Marketers are constantly trying to find new ways to stay in contact with customers, so Malibu has just turned 40,000 bottles of liquor into content gateways that provide smartphone users with playlists, drink recipes, prize draws and locations of bars. So reports Marketing Week.

The pilot test is being conducted in the U.K. and uses NFC technology that allows customers to simply tap their smartphones to the bottles to open a web browser and access the Malibu content.
