Google Delays Joining Ad Consortium Aimed At GDPR Compliance

Google will wait until August to join a consortium of advertising technology companies seeking to comply with Europe's new General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR). So reports ChannelNewsAsia.

The tech giant's delayed entry will leave some ad tech firms exposed to fines, though, according to reports from several people involved with the effort

Google has yet to adopt the consent framework and consortium standard.
