Dunkin’ CMO Out After Just 9 Months

Nine months after taking on the role of CMO at Dunkin’ Donuts, Rafael Acevedo has departed the company. So reports Marketing Dive.

DunkinAcevedo joined Dunkin last June to fill the CMO role that had been left vacant since the departure of Tony Weisman in 2019.

Acevedo has reportedly left the company to pursue other opportunities. Details on what that opportunity were not available as of press time. 

In a letter sent to franchisees Dunkin' President Scott Murphy said the company is working with Acevedo on a “clear transition plan.” Murphy also noted Acevedo’s contributions, including the onboarding of Anomaly and refining the brand’s purpose. Anomaly replaced agency BBDO, which Dunkin’ had been collaborating with since 2018.
