The outdoor ad firm is selling its majority stake of subsidiary Clear Media to a consortium of investors including Clear Media head Han Zi Jing and competitor ad company JC Decaux. The cloaking service has allegedly allowed “hundreds” of deceptive advertisements to run, including some related to COVID-19. LeadCloak, the company at the heart of the lawsuit, has been offering these services for years.
