McLaughlin, who succeeds retired Hannah Grove, led TD’s digital transformation during her eight years at the company. She will report to Julia McCarthy, EVP and global head of client experience at State Street.
McLaughlin takes over at a time when State Street faces a number of branding challenges. On the heels of its 2017 success with the Fearless Girl statue, introduced for International Women’s Day, the firm has come under criticism for gender pay equity issues.
“I’m very excited to be joining State Street at this critical time for clients and am looking forward to leading a marketing organization that is such a critical driver of business growth,” she said in a statement.
