Australia’s Biggest Outdoor Ad Contract Sparks Alliances in Bidding War

In an attempt to win Australia's largest outdoor advertising contract, advertising and telecommunications companies are teaming up to submit bids to the City of Sydney. So reports the Sydney Morning Herald.

The companies are expected to deliver on each aspect of free public wifi, advertising panels and furniture across the city. The contract, worth more than $500 million, is for 10 years, with an additional five-year performance-based option.

The contract covers approximately 40 kiosks, 400 bus shelters, 160 communications panels, benches, bins and advertising panels.
